Was born and raised in Green. Graduate of Green High-1980, Graduate of University of Akron, Associate Degree in Allied Health, Radiologic Technology. Employed with Summa Health Systems for 31 years. Manager of Summa’s Radiology Ambulatory Services in Summit and Medina County. Married 22 years, Husband Michael, Son Brian, and Daughter Brittne.
Brian FlennerVice Chairperson
Brian Flenner has worked in the sporting industry for nearly 15 years in a variety of business operations capacities including ticket sales, marketing, promotions, advertising, media buying, sponsorship and community relations. He currently serves as Akron RubberDucks’ Director of Ticketing leading all facets of ticket sales, customer service, box office operations and gate procedures. Prior to the RubberDucks, Flenner served as a consultant with Freedom Sports & Entertainment / PMI College and worked with the Youngstown Phantoms Hockey Team, Akron Zips, Ohio State Buckeyes, American Diabetes Association and Xoggz Pro Soccer Team. Flenner received both his M.A. of Sport Management and B.S. of Business Administration (Marketing & Logistics) from The Ohio State University. Originally from Belpre, Ohio Flenner moved to Green in 2010 with his wife and two children. He is an active volunteer with his childrens sports teams and Boy Scouts.
Gerri Talevich Secretary
Gerri Talevich is the owner operator of Gerri’s Closet an upscale consignment boutique that has been recycling fashions for almost 20 years in the city of green. Not only offering name brand clothing at discounted prices, she also offers many brand new items great for gift giving. Gerri has been a member of the National Association of Resale and Thrift for 14 years, and recently was on their board of directors mentoring and education shop owners and managers across the country. Gerri has served on many committees with the Green Area Chamber and looks forward to serving as a board member.
Josh MaximovichBoard Member
Josh is the Operations Manager for Maximovich IT Consulting with over twenty years in management. He has owned multiple successful businesses. He is very involved in the community and as a parent.
Josh helps run Cub Scout troop 3112 and is the Assistant Coach of his son’s baseball team. He is very active with his faith and greatly enjoy’ s volunteering at the Queen of Heaven Parish. He has provided countless volunteer hours personally and used his company to assist in a Rebuilding Together Project. He has been married for almost 20years and is the proud father of 3 wonderful children. He is involved in all their activities. He enjoy’ s going on family trips in their 40 foot motorhome that his son has named Sharky. He is proud to know that over the years he has accumulated over year of camping above 11000’ in the Colorado Rockies and goes to the gym every day to stay in shape for his next adventure.

Joan and her husband Jeff started Smith Janitorial and Steamsmith Carpet Cleaning while living in Akron, OH in 1985. They moved to Green in 1989. Smith Janitorial and Steamsmith is currently operated by Jeff and their son Jesse, who is a graduate of Green HS and Akron Univ. After 10 years of running the business with Jeff, Joan opened up Gallery 143 in 1996 in Green. Gallery 143 is an American Craft Gallery. Along with custom framing, the Gallery carries the work of 300+ American Artists in various mediums. Joan is also a quilt artist who creates and sells framed fiber collage, cards, bookmarks and journals.
Currently, Joan is a board member of the Green Chamber, Treasurer of the Green Arts Council, and Director of the art-A-palooza Fine Arts Festival held at Boettler Park in Green each August.
Being part of the Green Community as a business owner and resident for the past 28 years, Joan is excited to return to the board of the Green Chamber of Commerce. Working together with other community members to develop and maintain a Progressive, Safe, Creative Community is her goal.

Amy Holbrook has over 20 years’ experience in Retail and Commercial Banking with PNC, National City and First National Banks. She has been employed with Premier Bank and Trust since August 2014. Amy is a 1992 graduate of Green High School and attended Kent State Stark Campus, studying Early Childhood Development. Working for National City she discovered that helping people financially was her calling. Amy resides in Green with her daughter. She is active with her church currently serving as Treasurer for Ladies Christian Fellowship. Amy is an active member of the Well Armed Woman and is presently looking to volunteer her time to assist Haven of Rest Mission.

Brian Cuthbert was born and raised in Green and was a 1995 Green High School graduate. After high school, he attended John Carroll University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with a Business minor. After graduating in 1999, he began working full time for Lakes Heating & Air Conditioning, a company started by his father in 1974. He is currently the Vice President. He is licensed in the State of Ohio in HVAC, hydronics, and refrigeration. He lives in Green with his two sons, and in his spare time enjoys coaching baseball and playing golf.

Karl Kussow is Manager of Quality and Validation for FedEx Custom Critical. Kussow leads the company’s efforts to supply customers with temperature-controlled shipping services and quality management assistance. With more than 20 years of experience in operations, safety, regulatory compliance and quality assurance, Kussow is an expert in temperature-control-transportation logistics. Kussow has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from South Dakota State University.

Ron graduated from Chippewa in 1982. He immediately began his career working for the family business at the ground floor. He began attending AMI classes and earned his AAM (Accredited Automotive Manager) designation in 1996. He holds the Platinum designation from i-car training and is an ASE collision master technician. He and his brother purchased the business from their father in 1996 and have grown it from 1 store to 12 stores. Their businesses include Nagy’s Collision Centers, Pro Touch automotive detaining and Nagy’s Power Sports. Ron lives in New Franklin with his wife Kristine who is a guidance counselor. They have been married since 1986. Ron enjoys SCUBA diving, Trap shooting and Golf. He is also involved in volunteering at church and is on the Red Cross Board of Wayne-Holmes-Ashland Counties.
Jon Kozesky has served as the CEO of the Green Area Chamber since 2016. The Green Chamber position allows him to integrate business knowledge with a desire to serve others and the community. Prior to joining the Chamber, Jon worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where he worked closely with the Small Business Administration and the Department of Commerce in drafting many pieces of small business legislation that we work with today. Kozesky has owned several small businesses, including Jon Thomas Consulting, a government affairs and grant writing consulting firm that he maintains today.
