Established in 2020, the Green Area Chamber Community Foundation supports individual Chamber members, their families, and the Green community in times of celebration and crisis. As a 501(c)(3 non-profit, the Foundation is required to keep a public record of the account.

What can the Foundation help with?
Support is intended for individuals, families, and the Green community. Examples may include:
* Flowers for a funeral
* Restaurant or grocery store gift cards
* Assistance with transportation
* Meal delivery services
* Scholarships
How can I request support?
Fill out the application linked below with the details of the situation and support needed. Ensure every section is filled out to the best of your knowledge and the board will consider your request.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes, applicants and recipients may remain anonymous. However, please note that Chamber board members will have access to the applicant information during review.
What if the funds are depleted?
Unfortunately, if the budgeted funds are depleted for the year, an application may be declined. Applicants can reapply once funds are replenished. Please contact the Chamber Director for the current status of the Green Area Chamber Community Foundation’s funds.
What recognitions do donors receive for their donations?
Donors may be promoted through Chamber advertising/promotion opportunities; however, promotion is not guaranteed. Donors must disclose if they wish to remain anonymous.
Who can apply?
You may qualify for support if:
* You are facing an unforeseen emergency or catastrophic event (Ex, illness, death, house fire, flood, etc.)
* You (or the person you’re applying for) lives or works in Green
* The organization making the request is located in the City of Green
In addition, the Chamber board may vote to use Foundation funds to support the broader Green community (Ex, scholarships, donations, and community events).
How long does it take to hear back?
You can expect to hear a response to your application in approximately seven days.
How is support distributed?
Support is distributed in the best method determined by the Chamber. Support is provided as a gift or a monetary gift card. Funds will never be distributed in the form of cash. In some cases, the Chamber may reimburse an applicant or pay a third party directly.
Can I donate to the Foundation?
Yes, the Chamber can accept donations to the Green Area Chamber Community Foundation. Receipts will be provided to individuals who donate to the foundation for tax purposes.
