Our topic is QPR Training, and our speaker is Elena Aslanides-Kandis. Elena is the Suicide & Resiliency Services Coordinator at Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery (StarkMHAR) and serves as the Chair of the Stark County Suicide Prevention Coalition. In 2018, amid the youth suicide cluster in Stark County, Elena felt a strong calling to take on a broader role within the community where she is raising her family. She joined StarkMHAR in a newly established position to address these critical issues from a macro-level. The focus of her work is suicide prevention and resiliency supports which addresses the entire age continuum from prevention, intervention, and postvention.
